RIP James Earl Jones 😢 A legendary actor whose powerful voice and iconic roles, such as Darth Vader in Star Wars, left an indelible mark on cinema, and whose character we were privileged to feature on a stamp back in 2015.

Herne Bay station was renamed "Herne Bay & Hampton-on-Sea" from June 1880.  New station signage was erected to reflect the proposed development of the Hampton-on-Sea estate before the coastal erosion took hold. It officially reverted back to Herne Bay in March 1951.
