So so sosososo much. It’s despairing honestly. I’ve literally written 10+ grants in last two years, almost all hitting just short of the ~10% paylines. So much time and productivity completely wasted.

Spent a year creating 12 stable cell lines for a major experiment, only to find a huge duplication in the original plasmid sequence. Time to trash everything and start from scratch. Please sequence plasmids fully, even if they come from Addgene!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the ONLY thing needed for an initial paper submission should be a single PDF. It should take 30 seconds. All this other metadata nonsense should not hold up the review process and should be handled by the journal anyway.
