Are there some crazy direct response type marketers killing it with Twitter ad arbitrage right now with ultra cheap CPMs? so much of my feed is dominated by no-name consumer brands....is there some unknown Golden Hippo type empire behind all this?

Youth on my team saying LINKEDIN is the first social profile they check on a prospective first date?!?!? Kids, is this normal these days or have I collected a gaggle of uniquely degenerate square gen Zs?

Walked by two more Paris Baguette Cafes being built in NYC today. What's the theory here? We need more Pret a Mangers but for even whiter people?

Writing a new miniseries called Tabula Rasa for my friends over at Future Commerce on the vibe shift in commerce. What is commerce if not the business of monetizing vibes?

"Without the massive tailwind created by a billion new humans coming online, growth will simply be much more expensive. But in a creative sense, the end of arbitrage makes our jobs truly fun again– there is no established playbook." 🔥 Mike Mallazzo futurecommerce.com/posts/a-brave-…

When I started writing Zero Clicks, I largely thought of it as a sort of spiritual sibling to Brian Morrissey 's The Rebooting, covering the nexus of AI, media and commerce from the advertiser vs. publisher perspective. So certainly an honor to get a shout from the man himself!

Literally any time an outrage boi says "why isn't the media covering this?" you can basically guarantee that the story has been featured in NYT, MSNBC, WSJ, Fox and CNN at a minimum.....

Are there any takes on the Telsa event that aren't either egregious Elon dick riding or absolutely smothered in anti-tech cynicism? Would very much like to read one! (only reasonable articles I've read are from the investor POV which isn't what's interesting to me)

Second piece in my Tabula Rasa installment with Future Commerce is live! On retailers, media companies and the ever blurring line between the two......

Just saw a TikTok from a woman who said it’s better for America that Aaron Rodgers remains an employed quarterback as long as possible to prevent him from starting a podcast and is anything more true

I agree that if Perplexity has a true killer $100B+ use case, it will be this. Surprised Neeva/Snowflake didn't go after this opportunity more but genuinely excited about what this could look like if executed well
