Please don’t think because someone is smiling on the outside, that it means they’re not dying on the inside. A smile is a concealer used to cover up suicidal ideation.

Don’t tell me who deserves support when feeling suicidal due to mental health concerns. Just because they aren’t you, doesn’t mean they deserve to struggle mentally and die by suicide. They aren’t doing anything illegal or hurtful to others. They are only being themselves.

Going to heaven and seeing God would be a blessing. Going before your time due to mental illness and suicide as a result would be a hell no one should have to endure. It’s a real sin because you deserve better.

Treat your mental health like most treat their cellphones. Avoiding damage by protecting it. Ensure it’s operating efficiently by keeping it updated and free of any unnecessary junk. Regularly checking it to ensure it’s producing positive results that will keep you happy.

Many people are hurting and fighting to find a reason to stay alive. Your compassion and encouragement may be the lifeline they need to believe they matter. You may never know how close to the grave’s edge they were. Your involvement could have been what kept them from diving in.

With depression some days you wake up and can conquer the world, then other days you wish you didn’t wake up at all.

Don’t allow others, who don’t have your best interests in mind, to paint a picture of who you are. They don’t care about your beauty, only the praise they receive. They will present a colorful negative depiction of you, hoping to whitewash their image.

Please don’t live your life to please someone else because when it’s over, they won’t be the ones who’ve missed out.

When the word suicide enters the conversation, they’re not at the beginning of the problem, they’re close to the end. It’s time to react and not wait to see what happens.

I was speaking w/a friend who is struggling w/depression and suicidal ideation. During our conversation, they begged me not to tell anyone else and said things like, “I’m sorry I’m crying”. That’s heartbreaking, not only their struggle but also how this world makes them feel.

Forget simply celebrating your birthday or your birthday week/month, celebrate your birthday year because every day with you is a gift to us all and we couldn’t be more thankful that you were born.
