Hi Southeastern The journey planner doesn't seem to understand trains joined together at Ashford, e.g. a search for Canterbury to London CX doesn't show direct trains. The train announcements are also wrong, saying the trains terminate at Ashford which is confusing people.

A python package for working with LP modes from step index fibres has been released, including simulation of beam coupling and propagation. There is also a GUI for quickly visualising and exporting modes. Download at github.com/MikeHughesKent… or 'pip install lpmodes'.

The framework we developed for quickly building python-based imaging GUIs in the lab is now released (it was always open source but not exactly fully documented). Github (github.com/MikeHughesKent…) or pip install cas_gui Documentation here: cas-gui.readthedocs.io

If you're struggling to build performant GUIs for imaging system development in Python, this may be helpful, we've used this as the basis for GUIs for endomicroscopes, holographic microscopes and OCT (No more Labview!).
