This is important but not surprising. Voting equipment is consistently proven to be accurate and more so than hand counting ballots. I am glad I can lay my head on my pillow tonight confident in the accuracy and security of Wisconsin elections.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court, at the of a conservative law firm and the Republican Party, has ruled that this would be illegal in Wisconsin. Only voters with disabilities can get assistance returning their ballots. No drop boxes and no ballot harvesting.

This is an important message. It is sad that it needs to be continually reinforced with those who have no regard for the facts and the damage that their misinformation does to public confidence in elections and to the work of state and local election officials.

WI voters read this. Now the main sponsor of question 2 says clerks can “hereby designate” anyone to help run elections. That interpretation would’ve allowed Green Bay’s clerk in 2020 to designate the consultant as an election official. It’s just bizarre. votebeat.org/wisconsin/2024…

The Madison City Attorney's Office has appreciated the opportunity to host clerks from the #DiversityClerkshipProgram. We put them to work and they gain experience in real-world municipal law practice. It's a win for our office, for the clerks, and for the legal profession.

Nobody should be surprised that it will take the state’s largest city the longest to tabulate absentee ballots. It’s simply math. And the votes on the ballots are the same regardless of when they are reported.

6 a.m. at Election Central in Madison and throughout Wisconsin. About 2300 poll workers are ready to welcome voters in Madison. Every Vote Matters and today every carb does too.

It was a great day for a recount in Madison. We started with a 9-vote margin and ended with an 8-vote margin. Thanks to all of our helpers who were efficient and accurate and patient. They stuck with it until all issues were resolved and the numbers were reconciled.
