We went to the Highlands of Scotland last week. Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, accompanied by the enchanting sound of pipes, on the shore of Loch Linnhe and surrounded by the majesty of the mountains, me and A were married. It was perfect ❤️

Ok.. so where was I then? Ah that’s it.. got married, popped to Denmark for couple days work, dealt with a health problem and then found out I’m going to become a grandpa!! Life can throw little set backs at you but i am truly blessed in so many ways. Carpe diem!

Heading home after a 2 week work trip through N America. LA, SF, Toronto and NY! All good stuff but tired now however A joined for middle weekend so I got to celebrate my 58th solar circuit with her and a first visit to California wine country!

Work travel this week was a day in Amsterdam. As usual took my running kit for some early morning exercise. Still and quiet. Just lovely. Steeling myself as no let up in travel just yet!

Back from lovely long weekend in Devon visiting baby # 2. Lazy day enjoying sunshine on Exmouth beach after Killerton Park Run. Smashing Sunday lunch at Shilstone and after long run along Exe Estuary trail Monday a fab dinner at Stage. Best of all? Spending time together xx

Heading home from a couple of days work in Milan. Busy agenda left little room for downtime but got my early morning runs done and managed one fab dinner. I even dusted off my schoolboy Italian for my opening conference slot remarks without embarrassing myself! 👍 Ciao tutti!

Today I’m in a place scarred by conflict but thinking of the events 80 years ago in Normandy. I think of those that stepped into the full fury of war and honour their service. Memorial to my own regiment & US 29th division embarkation and arrival at Omaha beach. I pray for peace

Home from visiting colleagues in #telaviv Heartwarming to spend time together and check they and their families are coping with the stress of ongoing conflict. We gave something back by volunteering for a shift Leket Israel Sombre but resilient. I pray for peace and compassion

I ran the Southend 1/2 marathon for Havens Hospices yesterday. My first for years and I achieved my goal of finishing and running every step. It felt great to achieve that goal but hearing this news about a fellow runner after finishing was just heartbreaking. RIP.

Grief is the bitter price of love. I can’t believe it’s 10 years today since you were taken from us. The sting of grief has ebbed but the ache of missing you remains. As do so many beautiful memories. We came to the water to be close to you. Forever in our hearts xx ❤️

Back from a fab weekend with my lovely fam in Suffolk. Ok the weather pulled bit of a shocker which curtailed outdoor plans a bit, but just spending time with those I hold dearest in the world is truly special. ☺️

After many happy years (with varied success!) we cleared and handed back the allotment this weekend. We learned & laughed a lot and made fantastic memories but above all it was a place to go & decompress from the life’s stress and just be in the moment. Simple & beautiful 🥹🥕🙏🏻

Home after a solid weeks work in New York. My usual morning runs in Central Park were tougher than usual thanks to a heatwave and humidity spike they’re getting right now.. something none of us in Blighty have had much chance to acclimatise to given our ‘summer’ so far 🙄

Work travel again last week. This time Joburg 🇿🇦 Great to catch up with customers and colleagues but the highlight for me? Volunteering at Nokuphila school which provides education, care and hope for disadvantaged young people from Tembisa. Inspiring and impactful. ❤️
