Unfortunately the previous administration had a habit of ignoring those that actually do the work. A few years ago, the person tasked with devising a scheme of government-backed accreditation said installers just “grunt” at consumers. That spoke volumes.

Did it qualify for the govt (taxpayers’ subsidy) Boiler Upgrade Scheme? If so, you’ve all help pay for it.

Where was this Claire Coutinho when she introduced the Clean Heat Market Mechanism, penalising boiler manufacturers if consumers didn’t buy heat pumps. I like this one better, she seems to understand how markets work. #BoilerTax
