A new report in #OL from Alex Gabbey, Nick Michel, and Sophie Rousseaux from Chemistry at UofT with Jon Hughes and L.-C. Campeau Ph.D. from Merck, a mild nickel-catalyzed reductive coupling strategy to synthesize alpha-aryl secondary amides from NHP esters. Check it out pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acβ¦
Happy to see that a part of my PhD research on cyclopropanol chemistry (and in fact, this was started as my very first undergraduate project) has found such a beautiful extension in the hands of Sophie Rousseaux! This team never stop to amaze! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acβ¦
A simpler & safer way to access carbene intermediates for a variety of synthetic transformations β congrats to the authors! It was a lot of fun getting the opportunity to write a Science Magazine Perspective on this work Sophie Rousseaux. Check it out here: science.org/doi/10.1126/scβ¦
So cool to see my work on the cover of Org Lett! We report the synthesis of cyclopropylamines from cyclopropanols or enones via metal homoenolates. If you want to learn more about the underexplored electrophilicity of these intermediates, check out the link below! ACS for Authors
Synthesis of 3-borylated cyclobutanols from epihalohydrins or epoxy alcohol derivatives Don't miss Tyler R. McDonald & Sophie A. L. Rousseaux's latest Chemical Science π ow.ly/WUhm50MnxGL π University of Toronto | Chemistry at UofT
The Keith Fagnou Award is presented to a scientist residing in Canada who has made a distinguished contribution to organic chemistry while working in Canada. Congrats to Dr. Sophie Rousseaux Sophie Rousseaux of University of Toronto on being the recipient of this award. buff.ly/3D9YzZf
Excited to share our latest paper on the Ni-catalyzed arylation of nitrile-containing NHP esters, out now in JOC! This one has methods, mechanism, and more. Sophie Rousseaux Nick Michel pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acβ¦
Excited to share that The Mills Lab will start this fall at the University of Houston! This is possible due to my mentors and training Sophie Rousseaux Paul Chirik Chirik Group Stay tuned and follow below for more news: x.com/millslabchem
Super excited to share our work on the photocatalytic O- to S-rearrangement of tertiary cyclopropanols to access cyclopropanethiol products! Huge amount of work went into this one from all involved and I am really happy with how it all turned out. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.10β¦
