This week’s #MinuteWithMike - a budget update for my constituents. My priority is that we get a good agreement that protects education and healthcare while allowing us to come with compromises on the other challenges we face.
It was a was great day in #ThroggsNeck today as we celebrated the opening day of the Throggs Neck Little League and celebrate the Throggs Neck Community Association’s Easter Eggstravaganza!
This weekend we came together in the Bronx to call for the passage of #SMOKEOUTAct in the state budget. The budget is due in 4 days. New Yorkers across all boroughs want to close down illegal smoke shops immediately. Let’s get it done in the budget. It’s time to smoke ‘em out.
SMOKE OUT ACT -- That's the name of the bill Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar & NYS Assembly Member Michael Benedetto hope will be included in the NY state budget that's due in 5 days. They say this bill will give police the power to shut down illegal smoke shops vs. giving them a fine. #1010WINS
The best way to ensure our children have a bright future ahead is to give them the strongest possible education now. That’s why the #NYSAssemblyMajority is fighting for major investments in our schools and protection from harmful cuts in this year’s budget.
🔈 This week’s #MinuteWithMike is about the carrying charge delay Senator Jamaal T. Bailey and I were able to facilitate for Co-op City residents. This pause allows us to get a full review of this matter in the coming months.
I am pleased to have facilitated this delay alongside my colleagues Senator Jamaal T. Bailey and Council Member Kevin C. Riley. We are continuing to negotiate a fairer deal for Coop City ratepayers.

I was definitely feeling the “Sprit of the Irish” yesterday at the #BronxStPatricksDay parade! The crowds turned out and it was wonderful to catch up with so many constituents.
Congratulations to this year’s Grand Marshalls, John and Majella Brady!
