Rented The Lighthouse on YouTube, spent about 20 minutes being distracted by odd shots (e.g. entire top halves of faces out of frame) before I realized the film is just cropped to 16:9... ...from 1.19:1?! <--(a near-square). Trailer on right is correct. Don't rent/buy on YT.

This all tracks with my own exp as a game designer and teacher of same -- volume is really really valuable at the beginning of the climb, particularly going through the *full* cycle as many times as you can. Finish that short story collection first, THEN start your novel!
