Excited to unveil our productive collaboration Buzz Baum's Lab Roux Lab, featuring 3 co-first authors Diorge Souza, Javier Espadas, and Sami Chaaban! Special thanks to @ERR_Moody, Tomo Hatano, and MohanBalasubramanian Tom Williams (tweethinking.bsky.social) for their invaluable contributions!

Congratulations to Prof. Marko Kaksonen on being elected as an EMBO member! This honor recognizes his outstanding contributions to life science research. Read more: unige.ch/sciences/chimi… Faculty of Science | UNIGE UNIGE_en

Juanma García-Arcos shows that plasma membrane tension gradients are spontaneously formed in adherent cells. Unexpected because of membrane fluidity, cells combine adhesion to limit lipid diffusion and branched actin polymerization to increase tension at the cell edge, bravo Juanma!

Human culture cells don’t always divide symmetrically. Alexandre Thomas and Meraldi Meraldi lab UNIGE_en reveal that centrosome age can lead to unevenly sized spindles. This unexpected asymmetry results in daughter cells of different sizes via kinase Plk1. hubs.la/Q02GQ9Tm0

Pier Andrée Penttilä (@MRC_LMB Flow Cytometry facility), Rose Morag Hunter (AstraZeneca) and I are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to develop a multispectral light-sheet imaging flow cytometer and apply this to phenotypic cell sorting: nature.com/naturecareers/…

Congratulations to Akaash Kumar for passing his PhD viva! Thanks to Fritzsche M et al and Steven F. Lee for examining, and @DeriveryLab for co-supervision.

I'm so happy to announce our first Chemical Science and I'd especially like to congratulate Jia-Dong Jia-Dong Guo, Feven-Alemu, Dorian Dorian Schutz, Ilaria CTM Group for their superb work!!!🥳 #MyFirstChemSci doi.org/10.1039/D4SC05…
