Pit 60 pretty dead this am. 2 snipe & some lapwings the only waders. Imm M Marsh Harrier zoom x140. Thinking 3 cy M on the wing and tail pattern note evident here.

Hmm. Third dead goose in 2 weeks. Flu? Some years ago, water was even lower than now causing mass fish die off. But that's not the case this year . Dead kites next?

Obviously, not Spurn! Pit 60. I snipe. The sum total of waders! Mini influx of teal 20+, though rain increasing water levels seems to have moved many species put πŸ€” brief visit from a new Marsh Harrier. Cream crown in very heavy moult. Bring on the foul weather I say.

Sandwich tern dropped out of sky pit 60 after mist cleared. My 2nd self found site tick in less than a week. After black terns Monday. Sandwich rare here according to p60 Oracle SNT. been a while since last one. Sadly it didn't land and chased off by gulls

On reflection, i think this is a great snipe image at pit 60 πŸ˜‰ . That is, a nice video of common snipe (bad Dad joke).

Talk about doldrums.I know high pressure ain't good for seeing/finding passage birds. But every site I watch is dead at mo. Recent rains mean what little shoreline there was @ Pit60 is mostly gone but water not deep enough for duck influx=dead. 34 yellowhammers at my farm site.

A friend mentioned he'd had year tick spotted flycatcher recently. I've not seen one in UK this year. And rarely do. I replied ruefully how i used to ignore spot flys as so common. Photo Pit 60 this am. Now I ignore Great Egrets. Common. But not for good reason πŸ˜•

Pit60 a bit same old same old this morning. Rain brought in 1 adult & 2 juv common terns. Two regular cream crown Marsh harriers together, both juvs, This one no wing tags. The other has a large yellow tag on each wing. I'm assuming the tagged bird is same as one seen here b4.
