Maybe the Padres should just go the minimum in CF and 1B; say Mike Ford and Jankowski, for example — both of whom should cost the minimum — and get a big hitter to pair with like Soler.

It the same concept with Bellinger CF with Ford at 1B with maybe Pauley in LF.
