Ohio State HC Ryan Day on the off week: "We're calling it an improvement week because we need to continue to improve." Day said each player will be given things that they need to improve on from their position coach this week.

Day said the "improvement week" concept was a byproduct of Ohio State not usually having two bye weeks, or having a bye week this early. Day said Ohio State doesn't want to lose its "edge" and will be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Ohio State HC Ryan Day said he thinks there was "a couple different opinions of that after the game," when asked about the controversial targeting call on CB Denzel Burke. Burke was ejected in the first quarter against Western Michigan.
