As we know all to well in Ireland, even when the economy is booming there's always a sizeable portion of people who won't benefit from growth
Wages, profits and employment rise yet poverty increases and more people are forced to rely on charity or fall into homelessness

Wrote a short article about the disgraceful crackdown on pro-palestinian rallies in Europe, and how this is part of an intensifying trend of democratic governments trying to limit our right to protest

My latest article 'Has World War III Already Begun' explores the various proxy conflicts between east and west that increasingly characterize global politics.

'There's not even a hint of us being anywhere close to slowing our descent to collapse. Instead of using the pandemic and subsequent inflationary crisis to reformulate our economies, we did nothing bar press our feet more firmly against the accelerator'

If anyone is looking for a cheap Xmas present for someone in to politics, I've dropped the price of my book (a left-wing analysis of the Trump presidency - link in bio) on Amazon
For UK readers it's now £6.99 (was £8.99)
For US readers, it's $7.99 (was $11.99)
Pls R/T!
Thanks x

Here's my article about why the Tories are planning new austerity cuts.

(Spoiler alert: It's nothing to do with reducing debt and everything to do with re-stabilizing Britain's class system)

The bad news? Our civilization may not survive climate change.
The good news? Capitalism almost certainly won't.

My latest rant explores how increasing climate change will make capitalism untenable.

Cheerful little article I wrote about how the climate crisis will result in permanently rising food prices, potentially up until the collapse of our global food systems and the ultimate downfall of civilization.

My latest article is about how the bond market overthrew the (un)democratically elected government of the UK and why, no matter who becomes Prime Minister, the country once again faces severe austerity.

My latest article looks back at the class war launched by Thatcher and Reagan in the 1980s and compares it with the current situation in the UK

The decision on who'll be UK PM rests with a group of pale, stale, males whose longing for a past that never existed is matched by a vicious contempt for a future many of them will not see.
They want Thatcher back but will settle for a cheap imitation.

My latest article explores the potential for inflation to undermine “rentier capitalism”; an economic system based around excessive indebtedness and one which threatens a new systemic crisis of capitalism.

Fighting inflation via interest rate hikes means suppressing pay despite wages not driving inflation. This absurd logic means that if Russia blockades a Ukrainian port or if China enters lockdown, workers must take pay cuts or be fired.
This is class war.
