Another reform passed in Parliament! Whistleblower Protection Act amendments passed by the Dewan Rakyat. If this becomes law, a whistleblower will be protected even though the disclosure is prohibited by law eg under OSA. This was a major weakness in the law before.

For the third time under Madani, and only the fourth time in the history of Suhakam, the Suhakam Annual Report will be debated tomorrow. I am scheduled to debate, preparing my speech tonight. I am happy that we are normalising debates on human rights in Parliament. #DemiBangi
