For most Pakistani women who have a chance to leave the country, just being able to walk around outside freely, without being stared at or worried about their safety/reputation/what they're wearing, is a revelation. Men will never understand how profound this sense of freedom is.

People often say depression is a choice. These people are usually the ones who have never picked up a book on Psychology. I have studied Psychology for 6 years (BA, MSc, MA). Let me explain why depression actually happens and you can decide if it’s a choice or not.
