On Aug 1, 1944, Poles who never gave up to the German occupation made a heroic attempt to liberate their capital. The Warsaw Rising has symbolized the Poles’ dedication to freedom. At 5pm, sirens blare and the movement on the streets of Polish cities freezes to honour the heroes.

The Warsaw Uprising is a symbol of resilience and love for the homeland, which will forever remain in the hearts of the Polish people. Today, on August 1st, we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. May their memory never fade. 🕯️
