Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century, Universal City Studios Productions and DreamWorks Animation, have filed a lawsuit against Midjourney. They have described it in the suit as a “bottomless pit of plagiarism.”

💯 It’s really not that hard to get up to speed at least to a workable level. It makes you SO much faster if nothing else.

Oh gosh, I'll be playing some Alfred Brendel tonight. I listened a lot when I was younger, what a wonderful musician. While it's not what he was known for, I really like his Debussy. Really sad. RIP.

Absolutely this. Anyone who’s using LLMs (and doesn’t have a financial stake in their success or failure) is realising the massive limitations, and will readily admit as much. It still has its uses, but AGI it ain’t.

I use (or used to use) em dashes (although I never called them that) all the time in my writing. Do I have to stop now it's a clear sign of LLM usage? I don't want to!

I've been saying for ages, I was initially quite excited by this technology (despite the implications) but it's become noticably worse even as I've been experimenting with it. Useful in some limited cases, for sure, but as lots of us have said all along, it's been hugely oversold
