The most important facts for you to remember today: Less than 0.001% of those fully vaccinated have had a fatal breakthrough case. Less than 0.004% of those fully vaccinated have been hospitalIzed. The vaccines work. The vaccines are your best protection from the virus.

Bad bosses mistake visibility for value. They reward face time over impact. Good bosses know reputation isn't a proxy for results. They reward performance over presence. Great bosses know quality work depends on quality of life. They offer flexibility as a right, not a reward.

Social media has done many shitty things to the human brain but convincing people they’re smarter than experts might be the most dangerous thing.

Why social media becomes a cesspool: (1) Self-selection: frequent commenters are more political, more polarized, and more toxic than the population. (2) Contagion: incivility attracts more likes, and when even 2 comments normalize toxicity, others jump on the bandwagon.

Some good tips here. Also, maybe keep in mind that there are real people with real feelings who see what you share and how you treat people.

While the holidays are a joyous time for many, let us remember those who are lonely, sick, hungry, homeless, mourning, isolated, frightened, and suffering in any number of ways. We celebrate the season best when we reflect on the responsibilities of our common humanity.

Trying to locate the person who left this guitar on the Metrorail Info Red Line on Sunday night. Possibly someone who got off at one of the stations off of 355. Please message me w any description of the guitar or what else is in the bag, and I'll meet you with it.

I'm always asking, why. What's the goal? What problem are we trying to solve? "Because so-so wants it," is not a great place to start.

To all the teachers, in case no one has told you yet, thank you. Thank you to teachers and educators everywhere. Thank you for showing up, for gracefully helping our kids through each day, and for all the work we don’t see. You are true heroes. Thank you for everything you do.

As important as social media is for brands, it’s not the solution to all of your brand’s problems. No one ever says “That restaurant has horrible food and the service is terrible...but hey, they've got a great Facebook page!”
