Gayle’s life work was dedicated to improving the lives of Ohio children and families. Her influence can be found in every major piece of social policy legislation benefiting vulnerable Ohioans over the last 40 years.

On a personal note, I had the privilege of working w/ Gayle for the past 27 years. I have never know anyone with her combination of political smarts, compassion, and commitment. As someone said to me today, "I never imagined a world without Gayle in it"
