Learning history with a royal twist! Students in 3EB are designing their own crowns, stepping into the shoes of kings and queens from the past 🙂

Students in YR7 have been going out to various supermarkets for QUEST to compare costs and discover the difference between high and low prices. They have been exploring the aisles and learning how to shop smart!

This week 4AU have been focussing on Growth Mindset. They worked in teams to create a large picture of a Triffid from "The Day of the Triffids". All teams shared ideas, listened to each other and respecting each other's opinions on how the Triffid should look.

3SN have been to Crawley College Immersive room and really enjoyed exploring the different worlds. Thank you Crawley College

This week some Y11 students went on a trip to Chichester. This supported their Bronze Arts Award and Design GCSE studies. They visited Pallant House Gallery to see exhibitions on Rana Begum and Maggi Hambling and The Novium Museum to see some authentic Roman mosaics and the history of Sussex.

Students in KS4 have been learning about global warming and greenhouse gases. In this lesson they made some edible greenhouse gases and created a common gas through a chemical reaction.

Students in 4MH and 4AU were recently set a 'clean water challenge' in their science lessons. They all had access to the same equipment to produce the cleanest sample of water. We saw lots of fantastic teamwork and problem-solving skills at play. Great job everyone!

3KL have been enjoying our revamped gardening area 🧑‍🌾🪴

As part of Mental Health week students have taken part in a range of activities. Camp fires, boxercise, silent disco, yoga and many more! Students have embraced the week with these fun activities that have boosted their well-being and positivity.

Valentines Day has come early for students in3GM and 3FB with their delicious jam tarts they made in cooking today. We saw lots of great listening and sensible behaviours around the hot ovens. Great job everyone!

Last week 4DE and 4JD enjoyed lots of different activities for Children's Mental Health Week. These including zones of regulations, positive affirmations and using teamwork to complete some activities.

3KL have been to Worthing to see the immersive show 'The Ancient Oak of Baldor' by the company @frozenthatre. Students got to go on a journey through the seasons and had lots of fun experiencing and exploring using all their senses.

In the lead up to Valentine's Day, Key Stage 4 Book Club have been reading Romeo & Juliet. The students have discovered new words, enjoyed a quiz and designed their own family crests. ❤️
