Came up on rounds. Gabapentin is a good non benzo alternative for alcohol withdrawal. It is a fixed regimen and should be avoided in patients with a hx if DTs or seizures. @BSWHTemple_IMED #meded

Great step in the right direction. We always allow residents time off for maternity and paternity leave, but this helps overcome some hurdles that have lead us to do “creative” scheduling. Life should not stop because of residency.

I love when a resident teaches me the newest updates in something at work. Doesn’t make me feel dumb at all. It makes me feel like we are successful at what we do teaching lifelong learning. By the way, UpToDate was updated on this topic ten days ago! #MedEd @BSWHTemple_IMED

I handed out a thank you package from a patient to the team who took care of them today. There is no randomized trial, but I’m pretty sure the feeling of a thank you from a patient is better than getting 1000 MKSAP questions right. P-value <0.05. @BSWHTemple_IMED #meded
