A dull and damp afternoon in the south with outbreaks of heavy rain at times ⚠️ Drier and brighter to the north with plenty of warm sunny spells 🌤️

The eye of Typhoon #Yagi is passing directly over the populous city of #Haikou on China's #Hainan Island, likely bringing severe impacts from wind, storm surge and rainfall.

The weekend weather presents a mixed outlook with some seeing finer spells, but pulses of heavy, and potentially impactful rainfall are never too far away for large parts of England and Wales. All the details below ☀️☔️🌧️
