We shall miss Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II immensely, but the example she set will always be there to guide us – and her lifelong devotion to service will continue to inspire people around the world.

Prime Minister @JacindaArdern and I have touched base on the phone, over video calls, at summits – and now on planes. As we traveled together from London, we reflected on Her Majesty The Queen’s devotion to service and the connection she had with Canadians and New Zealanders.

We need to confront the rise of hate and violent extremism. At the Christchurch Call Summit, I announced that Canada will fund a new tool that helps small and medium-size online platforms better identify and counter content related to terrorism and violent extremism.

I’m thinking of everyone affected by Hurricane Fiona – I want you to know that we’re here for you. I convened an Incident Response Group meeting with Minister Bill Blair and officials this morning. Our government stands ready to support the provinces with additional resources.

I convened another Incident Response Group meeting earlier this afternoon – we discussed Hurricane Fiona’s impacts, and made sure resources are available to help those affected by the storm. We’ll continue to work with provinces to address the evolving situation on the ground.

Blessings everyone. happy Sunday to you and yours. A word for us. Many Christians in Church today do not realize they have a Call and Mission for God. Many of us think it is only the Pastor or Minister that has a Call.

A Word for us. Many Christians today, do not know what their gifts are for the body of Christ. Many sit in the pews and still think, it is only the preacher that has a call.

Canadians have already donated more than $5.6 million to @RedCrossCanada this week. And because we’re matching every dollar, that means more than $11.2 million is heading to people impacted by Hurricane Fiona. The storm caused serious damage, and more help is needed.

Newspapers keep people informed, hold governments accountable, and help protect democracy. These are not small tasks. This #NationalNewspaperWeek, let’s celebrate these #ChampionsOfTheTruth for providing Canadians with reliable and credible information. Thank you.
