Joining the follow-up party! SN 2023ixf is one of the closest supernovae ever found, located in an arm of the Pinwheel Galaxy, M101. We are getting some gorgeous images with the FLWO-48". Thanks Allyson Bieryla and Daichi Hiramatsu for coordinating these observations! #SN2023ixf

There were 17 (seventeen!) transients, likely supernovae, found in this data, ranging from z~0.5 to z~2.8! Well done to Christa DeCoursey and the rest of the JADES team on their work. See their Astronote here: wis-tns.org/astronotes/ast…
