Bumble Bee in a Bucket. After trying (and failing) at many designs for bumble bee nests. This year's trials are white buckets filled with straw or shredded paper. We put out about 30 and will see if we have any takers.

Check out some new construction that has started up, it's a lot of work but this will soon be a new nest!

Hey Brock University a gorgeous, rare, and elusive yellow-billed cuckoo was killed by the windows at Cairns. This is just one of the many migratory species I've found dead around campus. Stickers need to be added to ALL windows - and not just random birds, but dot grids!

Some times I wonder what percentage of this I've accounted for over the field season so far. Days like today I've needed every drop.
