Here's a remarkable detail from the west side of the main roof, where an oak beam is dovetailed into the stone wall. We were all quite impressed to think that no one has seen this tidy if truly odd piece of work since this part of the building was finished in 1690.

Look carefully and the hole structure is coach bolted to the tree. Funny way to treat ‘priceless treasure’. Very strange post.

My phones camera is broken so I can only post blasts from the past. Oak kitchen table with yew ash and elm stick back chairs. Circa 1999

Ty Mawr Nefyn circa late Victorian. Love the way the thatch has grown over the verge of the slated rid next door. A rare picture of a fine thatch and glimpse of how much of Wales looked before the ready availability of explosives and the slate mining boom.

I think I've found the ugliest one ever made. How can you be so far off the mark? Completely fail to understand the concept? And then realise what you *think* it is, so appallingly? And then ask money for it?

Having finished our latest coppice harvesting contract today on the Cambs/Bedfordshire border, I thought I would put together a series of short videos to explain the work in more detail and explain why woodland management is so important. Thread 🧵 #Positiveforestry

First Israel destroyed the sewage systems and cut the water, so polio would make a come back, & now blocking syringes for vaccinations from entering. Honestly, I am floored by the utter daftness of people who say this isn’t a genocide.

So inviting. Old track way in Cil Geraint with ‘Crawia’ slate pale fencing. Near the huge Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda this a particularly rich place to see this vernacular style of livestock and property boundary.

Fella to Katie in the pub the other night: "If he'd just knock the slurry pictures on twitter stuff on the head". (The tree is all black from the slurry sprayed over the ditch, now pooled on the ground, soon be in our rivers/beaches)

Road trip today. Saw Dr in maentwrog, job inquiry Trawsfynydd, TJ Roberts Butchers in Bala, wood yard at North Shropshire Timber then home via the A5 in wild conditions. Took the Coed y Brenin to Llanuwchllyn mountain road over Nant Ddu - the black stream. If you know you know.
