Nice. But the map should be expanded. Don't forget, the band's first show as the Grateful Dead took place in San Jose, on Dec. 4, 1965. And we'll be celebrating it with a plaque dedication on the site. You're invited. For more info, go to sanjoserocks.org

Post Those shows in Golden Gate Park this weekend are groovy. But the Grateful Dead 's official 60th anniversary is in December--and there will be a celebration on the site of their very first show, which took place in downtown San Jose. Details at sanjoserocks.org

Uh, but don’t expect any more investigative or deep dive reporting about the NFL by ESPN. They’re now even more interlocked business partners. Objective sports journalism suffers another blow.

Want to know why coffee prices have gone up? Brazilian coffee beans now cost 50% more to import. Just because our president doesn’t like his Brazilian friend facing justice for his crimes. No other reason, as the former Republican speaker says.

In 2006, the San Jose Giants Class A baseball team gave a kid a break. They should definitely invite her back for a second chance. fb.watch/Bsw7qLBjCt/?mi…

Reminds me of when original San Jose Sharks owner George Gund built an apartment inside the new arena in 1993. Maybe Hasso Plattner is getting his own SAP Center condo? Can you confirm, Jonathan Becher ?

I have it on good authority that the planned renovations will include new media accommodations. Which should immediately be named the Hahn/Rusanowsky press box.

Watching the lack of zip, I wonder if Stone injured his arm or shoulder on the first offensive play of the game where he was tackled from behind in mid-delivery (including the arm) and gave up the ball. I hope someone asks about it (and that he and Braun give honest answers).

The Oracle/Coliseum property is also booked for an event on those dates. The Golden State hoops move to the Bay Area’s largest city mimics 1996-97 when the Warriors played their entire season in San Jose while Oracle was being remodeled in Oakland. Set then-attendance records.

The Lasers split their home schedule between the San Jose State Event Center and the Shark Tank. The team drew well. Jennifer Azzi was their star. Should the Valkyries make her an honorary captain for their playoff game in SJ? Yes. Yes, they should.
