Higher ranked economics journals do not produce better estimates (ie, closer to the true parameter estimates). It should have been obvious by now that better journals aren't producing better research. They are good for career advancement, though.

This study found that a 10% real increase in the minimum wage leads to a 2.5/2.9% increase in the homeless population. This effect is driven by disemployment (which is larger among younger, lower- skilled).

This study showed that ethnic inequalities are negatively correlated with GDP/capita, and this relationship is strongly mediated by corruption effects.

We know there are race differences in brain volume. But what if we partial out genetic ancestry? In this case, the relationship between self-reported race/ethnicity (SIRE) and brain volume vanishes, being mediated by ancestry. Source: http://dx.doi. org/10.31234/osf.io/ge4zu.

This study found that inflation increases income inequality in Brazil. Private credit is by far the most influential factor in the changes in income inequality, and more private credit reduces inequality.

High IQ people experience some optical illusions (e.g., Necker cube) more strongly, because it implies greater degree of mental transformation of the information. From The g Factor:

Haier et al 2023, in The Science of Human Intelligence, present a nice summary table of some findings from The Bell Curve, displaying the probability of various life outcomes by IQ levels.
