Congratulations to Coco in Y7 for winning a Certificate of Merit in the University of Liverpool Maths Challenge, organised by the charity Mathematical Education on Merseyside. Coco has been shortlisted from over 2000 entries to receive a prize for her detailed answers to some complex problems.

Congratulations to our first place winner from Southend High School for Boys for the maths challenge. Presented by Barry Grantham at University of Liverpool We had 1347 entries from 112 schools across Merseyside, Lancashire, North Wales and the Isle of Man. Thank you to all who participated.

We loved hosting the Maths Education Merseyside masterclass recently, a fab day of maths with students from across the region. The Egyptian maths session was presented by our own staff. Many thanks to head student Sam Latham (a former participant himself) who helped deliver the sessions.
