Supporting future #JEPL lab facilitators and visiting classrooms to support math and ELA connections with district improvement teams made for a great week. The cherry on top was doing it with Megan Kortlandt and OS early literacy friends like Asha, Christina and Ashelin R. Currie,Ph.D..

We ran a scale up last year with 80 schools and found no differences in ELA outcomes according to curriculum used (Wonders, EL etc) but the amount of PD provided mattered. PD in effective practices is the bigger lever

Yessss! Becoming an adult or getting a job doesn’t mean that the research about effective learning no longer applies. Educators of all roles need good PL that gets them into real classrooms to support how ideas can transfer to practice.
