Welsh football has lost a massive personality. A brilliant player, entertaining pundit and bonafide legend.

RIP Leighton James.

Leighton was such a superb player. A huge part of Swansea’s golden era under Toshack, & a vital member of a really good Wales team. A side that got to the Quarter Finals of Euro ‘76 & the only Welsh team to beat England at Wembley (Leighton scored the goal). He’ll be missed. RIP

The entire statement is damning evidence of the FA/PL love-in but the detail of the PGB reps (which the FA used as its defence just a few hours ago) is esp sickening

Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney being in Wrexham simultaneously would effectively make north Wales the new centre of the universe

Football will miss Maggie Murphy when she steps down as Lewes CEO. Sometimes she felt was ‘yelling into the wind’ but Lewes’ legacy is special: 5yrs championing sustainability, equity & innovation, challenging richer clubs & the system when others couldn’t mirror.co.uk/sport/football…

Our amazing CEO Maggie Murphy leaves Lewes FC a better, bigger, more ambitious club this summer. Even if the women's team are relegated from the Championship. | Mirror Football

729 teams compete in the FA Cup, yet the future of it is being dictated by an elite minority with a selfish agenda.

You can’t claim an ‘increased support for grassroots football’ when there are no replays from the first round onwards.

A disgraceful decision.

We’re laughing but Daly said after her retirement from England she’d have played in goal if it meant playing for her country (“I’d give it a good go” were her words) and there’s a 99% chance Daly would go between the sticks and we’d discover she’s actually Buffon

Also, Kayleigh Mc is not entitled to PFA support/membership as she’s never played WSL football. So a full-time female international player in the Championship can’t pick up the phone to the PFA for help, yet male ex-pros can still be supported many years after retiring.

Just heard the The Socially Distant Sports Bar lads chat about our doc on the pod. What a buzz!

Really proud of what we’ve made, especially with no budget and doing it around our day jobs.

Plenty more to come as well, we’re just getting started.

Kayleigh plays for Stoke City, a team owned by the Coates family, worth 8.9 BILLION pounds. yet she's having to ask for donations to fund her own ACL treatment. If that doesn't show you how stark the reality of 'booming' UK women's football outside WSL PR bubble is, nothing will.

'Tottenham's game-winner was the kind of thing that happens bc a footballer insists on it bc they believe it can. Which has been Martha Thomas’ and Spurs’ season in a nutshell.'

Some praise for Thomas and what Spurs have gotten so right this season
