Yesterday, a bill to “Ban DEI in Medicine” was introduced into the United States Congress. I created a short video about the harms that this bill would have. DEI initiatives aren’t just about admissions. It’s about reaching out to communities that have been overlooked.

Today is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day. - More than 400 physicians die by suicide each year in the US. - Suicide is the leading cause of death among resident physicians. - Med students are three times more likely to die by suicide than their peers in other fields.
