As part of a ground-breaking trial, lab samples have been flown by drone from NHS Lothian’s Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to NHS Borders General Hospital. Drones have the potential to play an important role in transporting samples for testing or speed up the delivery of critical medical supplies.
