Third year of med school is weird because on some days, on some rotations, I’m a critical part of the team in managing a patient’s care and on other days, my biggest contribution is giving my attending my pen because they lost theirs 😅

Got a nice reflex hammer finally and first thing I did with it was try to elicit all my own reflexes.. I swear I could never get the triceps reflex but it was SO easy with this thing 😭 my new favorite toy

Was in a meeting where I was asked, “Can I call you Monica?” Which was fine. But then he kept on calling the other physician in the meeting (a man) “Doctor.” I politely call him out & explained gender bias. Language is powerful. Let’s change the landscape.
