Is it only me or am I the only one who hasn’t been this less excited for an apple event? Really hope they pull off a one more thing later

Finally Raspberry Pi included the long awaited M.2 slot! But man you can get so much more SBC nowadays for 200$ especially for the desktop use case which makes it a tough product to sell imo But it sure is pretty so check out bret's review for nice pics and real perf benchmarks

The qualcomm dragonwing family seems "solid" regarding mainline linux support. Very active development and most CPU + GPU + VPU support is already there but I didn't expect qualcomm to acquire Arduino to use a familiar brand to expand into the SBC space

Had lots of fun going in depth on what has happened this year and uncovering more about upcoming SoC's that has not been mentioned anywhere else yet

Upgraded my Switch Lite to OLED with Taki Udon's SUPER5 kit (including the atomic purple shell and TMR Hall Effect joysticks). Had lots of fun doing it at Chaospott especially since it has been a while I did anything this deep with hardware

In the last 30 days we broke a new record reaching over 10.000 unique visitors to the site! 🎉 Glad it's resonating well that we need a more open approach about documentation for all the ARM (and later riscv) computers

In light of the FFmpeg drama I want to shine some light on to the Jellyfin team and their fork of FFmpeg that does lots of things with hardware acceleration. They’re doing such a good job and that deserves some attention and I hope one day those patches will be merged upstream

As a side note, if anybody happens to have copies of firmware updates for one of these early Mt. Collins Ampere servers, please let me know! Can’t find a copy anywhere outside of Ampere’s website, which I can access without an account that they won’t let me create.
