I want to just remind all grad students that lots of paper comments/edits from mentors/advisors are an act of love and an expression confidence in your work and ideas. It's hard to open a document & see all that - but that's a sure sign that we think the work is worth it.

So sad to hear about Frans de Waal’s passing. He was one of the main reasons I was drawn to Emory. He leaves a lasting impact on primate cognition, animal behavior, and every student he has mentored.
