I’m still so grateful to get the opportunity to train as an OBGYN at such an amazing program. As July nears any help with a successful transition would be greatly appreciated! Med grad list: amazon.com/registries/gl/… #gyngang #Match2024 #obgyn #medgradwishlist #MedGradWishlist

May your hunger for peace be stronger than your hunger for comfort. May your appetite for justice overshadow your appetite for approval. May your soul choose to be stirred up and not sedated.

I know this is a joke but people actually inquire about this often. During a CS, we are actively trying to keep mom & child alive while operating on an organ that can lose your entire bodies blood volume in minutes.🤯 Oh yeah, don’t forget mama is usually awake the whole time.

The average MCAT score for my class was a 507, the average MCAT score for the class only 3 years after me was a 512; across the board, students applying to medical school now are 10x more impressive than A LOT of the older folks complaining about DEI

So grateful to have the opportunity to discuss #foodinsecurity in Galveston and the Galveston Community Fridge at UTMB School of Public & Population Health Public Health Research Symposium! Leading this org for 2 years and seeing how much it’s helped locally makes me so excited for the year to come.

Make college and medical school affordable then get back to me. Otherwise go to sleep and delete this garbage tweet in the morning. Most of us in the healthcare profession still service a ton of loan debt. If we didn’t have it, we could buy home and qualify for mortgages, maybe

As women’s health funding ramps up, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind the medical community that menopause medicine needs to be the responsibility of ALL specialties, not just Ob/Gyn. It affects all organs. Women’s entire biology is not their ovaries.

There’s a 6 month waiting list to see a Urogynecologist/Female Pelvic Floor specialist because in the US we train one Urogynecologist per state per year. But 44 million women will have a pelvic floor disorder (prolapse, incontinence) by 2050. The math is not mathing 🧮

One of the things I would like to see by the end of my career is for women to stop apologizing for normal things like unshaven genitals or menstruating when they come to the doctor. Please let's un-socialize women from healthcare related shame.

This is IMPORTANT and I am so proud of AUGS for rallying around this policy that will fail our patients. Contact your reps and spread far and wide so we can protect women’s health research funding!
