Gender- based violence is closely linked to Food security which is exacerbated by hunger and climate shocks. When food insecurity rises women and girls are at the highest risk of hunger and violations of their human rights including #GBV. #16DaysOfActivism #GenderBasedViolence

This year's #HumanRightsDay falls on a day when #Zimbabwe is facing a serious drought that has left more than 7 million people food insecure. Food is not just a need it’s a human right.

The Community boreholes we have set up in Chiredzi continue to provide water and hope to the communities during this dry spell. Investing in such projects is one way we are building resilience in Chiredzi District. 🙏🏿 USAID Zimbabwe

2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣🔜2⃣0⃣2⃣5⃣ Looking back at a year marked by #ElNiño's challenges in #Zimbabwe. Yet, through it all, we tackled food insecurity head on. Hunger has never been more urgent, and World Food Programme ’s response has never been more critical.

What does school mean to you? A place to dream, grow, and thrive. But how can dreams take shape on an empty stomach? As hunger peaks and cereal stocks dwindle, we must ensure learners have the nourishment they need to succeed.

Most of the weir dams we constructed in Mwenezi are filling up. These water sources will sustain irrigation and livestock production during the dry season. Water harvesting is key for community resilience.
