Colder, windier, and snowier tonight. Gusty winds carry into Tue., with potential for further complications in areas still recovering from the ice storm. Accumulating snow is likely, especially in the snow belts. We turn drier Wed., with mild temperatures building by Thu. #MIwx

Windy conditions today and tonight (gusts 35 to 45 mph) will result in wind chills in the 10s and 20s. Falling snow (couple of inches across snowbelts) this morning combined with these winds will lead to blowing snow and poor visibility as well. #MIwx

As the snow winds down today, expect strong northwesterly winds to continue over the region, with gusts as high as 45 mph possible along the Lake Superior shoreline. Expect the weather to calm down tonight as high pressure builds in. #906wx #miwx

Widespread rainfall is expected late Thursday into Friday evening. Rain and snowmelt will lead to rises on area rivers and possible minor flooding on typically flood-prone rivers.

Combination of breezy and dry conditions will lead to high fire danger across northeast lower today, and across much of northern lower on Thursday. Thus, outdoor burning is not recommended. Chance for thunderstorms on Friday, a few of which could be strong. #MIwx

Another dry and breezy day today (and mild, 60s northern lower), thus elevated fire danger. In addition, we have the chance for strong thunderstorms on Friday. Still some uncertainty in regards to the storm coverage so make sure to check weather.gov/gaylord for updates! #MIwx

Isolated severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening across much of northern MI. The primary threat will be large hail, but isolated instances of damaging winds, along with locally heavy rain, will also be possible. #MIwx
