The fee should not be high, but the possession of a licence should be a pre-requisite of letting accommodation. Rogue landlords should lose their licence and their property should be subject to compulsory purchase at market ….

MckNasty @KwajoHousing Lambeth Council …. rate, less the cost of putting the property into good order for resale. That would cause good landlords no qualms, but it would concentrate the minds & frighten the sh*t out of the rogues. This should be enshrined in legislation, so no argument about it.
