How the hell was Health Secretary Steve Barclay allowed to get away with spouting this much bull**** about the NHS doctors strikes?! Let’s add some actual REALITY to what he told viewers this morning!
Incredible work by Theo Clarke and BirthTrauma who, along with other amazing organisations, are paving the way for better outcomes for all who access maternity services. It is wonderful and inspirational to see these changes taking place.
Thanks so much to Laura for sharing her moving and powerful story of traumatic birth. The parliamentary birth trauma inquiry is still open to submissions until 20 February - please email [email protected] itv.com/news/granada/2…
An incredible, breathtaking show in Liverpool today, our tumbling mad gymnast has been absolutely inspired by the Cirque du Soleil #OVOCirque was just joyful and brilliant - we loved every moment.
It’s imperative that the momentum around #BirthTrauma keeps going during the GE campaign Theo Clarke Rosie Duffield MP BirthTrauma and so many others have done such wonderful work, parents have so bravely shared their stories. For the first time - we have felt truly heard.
Thank you Donna Ockenden FRSA, Hon DLitt Hon DSci for these kind words, we are truly grateful for your support. The BirthTrauma peer support team is compromised of wonderful individuals who altruistically volunteer, using their own lived experience to support other parents. I am so proud of the BTA.
So looking forward to speaking at this conference. Hudgell Solicitors are doing incredible work, training staff in trauma informed practice & truly seeing the person behind the case number. Speaking from my own experience of a med neg case, this makes such a difference.
‘Improving #maternity services should be above party politics.’ Such valuable & important words from Theo Clarke Too many people are losing their physical & psychological health due to #BirthTrauma A commitment to meaningful change is essential from all political parties.
Please could I ask you to take a minute to nominate the Birth Trauma Association for a £1,000 donation. Our only funding comes from grants & donations so this would go a long way towards helping us to support parents impacted by birth trauma. Thank you 🙏🏻 movementforgood.com/?fbclid=IwZXh0…
Fathers and partners can experience Birth Trauma too. BirthTrauma is here for you. Email: [email protected] #parentshelpingparents #birthtrama #peersupport #mentalhealth #traumainformed #postnatalptsd #birth #menshealth #dads #partners
Please could you all give CWaC SEND Accountability a follow! They are doing absolutely incredible work highlighting the failures of Cheshire West’s SEN Team & trying to affect meaningful change. Local families are in despair, vulnerable children let down at every turn. #NotANationalIssue
Thank you CWaC SEND Accountability for anonymizing this quote of mine-the work you’re doing is incredible; I’ll publicly share my experiences of Cheshire West’s SEN Team. Hugo Deynem the ombudsman fined the SEN team for their failings towards my child (we are local to you). #NotANationalIssue
Thank you Carpo For years CWaC’s SEN Team has consistently failed my child without care or conscience, causing serious irreparable harm to our entire family’s wellbeing. CWaC SEND Accountability are doing incredible work to highlight the local issues & affect change. The SEN Team MUST improve
We fully support Theo Clarke’s call for the government to act on the recommendations of the birth trauma inquiry. Wes Streeting accused of abandoning maternity care promises thetimes.com/article/8c8ee6…
I’m really sad this was said to Louise Thompson , particularly at a BTA event. However well intended, such clumsy attempts at reassurance are inevitably hurtful & damaging. As for questions whether a pregnancy, be it 1st, 2nd or 5th, is considered-it is simply never ok to ask!
