Saw this on the news last night; how fitting that you were anchoring. This exhibit looks terrific and I plan to visit it.

Interesting that it doesn’t say what you’d be supporting her for but she told me she’s running for governor, so it shouldn’t be a mystery.

Interesting and largely accurate but I refuse to believe that giving directions w reference to former landmarks is unique to RI. Others should weigh in. By the way, we also had coffee cabinets in Fall River. Love ‘em.

This vaguely reminds me of RI GOP Senate Leader Lila Sapinsley & the 2 or 3 other Jewish sens yrs ago hosting Israel Day w Jewish foods. In a first, MA lawmakers delay budget fight to accommodate Passover observance jta.org/2024/04/26/uni… via JTA | Jewish news

I’m curious to know exactly how they will dismantle this bridge. Obviously they can’t just blow it up.

Excellent column about the buzz around Buddy, a showman indeed and great material for journalists. But he was corrupt as hell and on balance did Providence more harm than good.

And now it’s Brown students. I wish they’d demonstrate against Hamas, which I consider the true enemy of Palestinians.

I thank The Public’s Radio & Ben Berke for covering this situation. In the old days, the Journal’s Fall River/Somerset bureau would have been all over it. But of course the bureau no longer exists. By the way, this train is now a quarter of a century behind schedule.

This well-told story of the struggle of this 86-year-old Ukrainian immigrant to find an open pollng place (her usual one was closed) reveals a truth: not everyone is able or likely to click through boxes on sos.ri.gov website (any website) to find their polling place

Eli: Thanks for the compliment. Please note that my story and the other two were in the next morning’s paper; the Journal back then routinely reported news in timely fashion. Incidentally, Joel Sekeres and John Hackett were fabulous talents - indeed, John was a big mentor to me.

Good for Tara! A couple of times when a politician wouldn’t talk to me I did columns listing (tough) questions I’d ask if he did talk to me. Will be curious to see if she swings McKee around.

.Tara Granahan says she hasn’t spoken to Governor Dan McKee in 2 1/2 year and because of a lack of access plans to do “Ask the Governor without the governor”

Glad to see KGregg is on the case. I do NOT welcome what these folks are doing and I call your attention to the paragraph about the news conference failure to mention the 10/7Hamas attacks, the refusal to release hostages etc.
