Born in Punjab, Sikh Indian American Bhagat Singh Thind immigrated to Seattle in 1913. During WWI, he served in the U.S. Army & was stationed at Camp Lewis, WA in 1918. He was the first U.S. serviceman to be allowed for religious reasons to wear a turban. #StoriesOfService

This #DayOfRemembrance marks 77 yrs since #EO9066 authorized the forced removal & incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII. More than 125K were ultimately imprisoned, including immigrants arrested by the FBI, babies born in the camps, & Nikkei abducted from Latin America.

Breaking Twitter silence to let my (current and ex-) colleagues know: Tomorrow will be my last day at Mozilla. I'll be taking a few months off before figuring out what I want to do next. It's been a great 9 years, and I'll still be involved in Rust and other Mozilla projects!
