Some people are annoyed about constantly hearing about racism and oppression right now. Some people are annoyed about constantly having to fight for rights to be free of racism and oppression. Can you see the difference?

1/2 I am thankful that I work in a school division that recognizes the importance of acknowledging the truth of our history in order to make a positive path forward. That being said, if you ever wonder why Indigenous people don’t ‘Just get over it’..... this is why.

Schools shouldn’t have cemeteries & the fact that every school did, tells you what you need to know about how we treated Indigenous Peoples then, and continue to today. It is our job as Non-Indigenous people to do the heavy lifting now. Our cousins have carried the load too long.
