On #WakeUpCLT: A historic school finds a new home at the Charlotte Museum of History! The “Save Siloam School” project has been 6 years in the making to help preserve a historic Black school built in the 1920s. This morning it was moved here from a NE Charlotte neighborhood.

The Siloam School, a historic African American schoolhouse in northeast Charlotte is now at its permanent home at the Charlotte Museum of History. Here, it will be restored and preserved thanks to a community fundraiser.

From Northeast Charlotte to the Charlotte Museum of History, this 100 year old piece of history has officially been moved. School that gave kids a chance at an education during segregation. WBTV News
