Week 35: Counting collections are the most magical time… “I can count by 5s or 10s” “you can’t steal someone’s rekenrek” “so you would really rather be a math teacher than a queen?” We heard counting in our primary language & so many giggles. Thank you so much kinder counters ❤️

Week 40: Year 13 as a teacher challenged me in ways I could have never expected. It brought some of the most beautiful moments and some that I am still healing from. I have never been more thankful for a summer break and more hopeful for a new school year ❤️

Week? It’s been a different year for me as an educator, but one thing remains the same… math joy is the driving force for both our students and educators. I had the best time counting fractional pieces with our 2nd grade team! My ❤️ is full.

My math mentee I have worked the longest with, made this for me- we both know that showing & sharing our math thinking with others is important 🫶🏻 #seekoutmathjoy

Tonight is one of my favorite BES events! Join us 5:30-7pm for our Family Fun & Learning Festival for math & literacy games, SEVA food truck, free books, community resources & live music! A special shout out to Belvedere ES PTA for providing us w/ wonderful games for our raffle!
