The recording of my MLOps talk is now available. Luckily on yt you can slow down the speed 😁 I had a blast showing how we work with data - thanks Demetrios Ben Epstein and MLOps Community for having me!

Great talk by Micha Kunze about "DataOps is a Software Engineering Challenge" youtu.be/iAr6woT1oIQ Very practical and deliver values! More please 👏

Our data model is not delivering! 🔥 Data checks blocks above 1000 containers. We talk about real containers here, not Kubernetes

Loving the feedback to my talk - sounds like I am saying “simple” way too much. It is simple AFTER you have done the work. Will try to do better next time.

While making slides for conferences this month I realised we are now using Great Expectations for 2+ years systematically in production ❤️. Lots of value delivered by preventing us from putting out crap data/forecasts!

It's official! As of version 0.88.0 of lakeFS , you can now query Parquet files right from the lakeFS UI, no additional configuration required. This was made possible thanks to the awesomeness that is DuckDB + WASM. Read more: lakefs.io/blog/lakefs-du…

Are you passionate about #AI, #DeepLearning and/or slightly geeky NMR? I will soon have a postdoc position available to develop #NMRchat and #AI together to create cool methods to characterise everything from BIG proteins to small molecules. DM if you are interested. Please RT.

Love the slides! I can highly recommend building data processing this way - we do the same with spark structured streaming and delta. Cheap, robust, simple, and easy to reason about.

This might be heresy but: 1. Code reviews are a massive productivity tax with tiny quality benefits 2. They should not be mandated 3. The author should feel free to request a review if they want it 4. If you don't trust your engineers, invest more in CI, or hire better ones

OH: “These automatic tests slow me down - they tell me I am breaking something but I need to push out my change. How can I disable these tests?”
